Thrive Mental Wellbeing is delighted to announce a new joint venture that will see our workplace mental wellbeing services disrupt the Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) sector in Australia and New Zealand.
Vitality Works – Sanitarium Workplace Health deliver transformational workplace health solutions across both countries. We are pleased to announce that a joint venture will see Thrive Mental Wellbeing integrate and launch our trusted workplace mental health and wellbeing solutions under the name Thrive Oceania.
The perfect partnership
Since conception a decade ago, Thrive Mental Wellbeing has categorically disrupted the workplace mental healthcare sector in the UK and across the world with our healthcare-first approach. During this time we have positively impacted the mental wellbeing of millions of people. This has been through our clinically validated tools and therapies, all developed and delivered by qualified psychologists.
This did not go unnoticed within the EAP sector, with many seeing Thrive Mental Wellbeing as a leading disruptor as our client and user base continued to significantly grow year on year. As a result, the astute Vitality Works team got in touch with us. They had, for some time, been looking for a partner that could provide a professional, clinically led, healthcare-first approach to mental health that would complement their existing workplace solutions. The conversation began and it became evident that there was synergy between the two companies when it came to our vision, values, and mission.
The result is a brand-new joint venture that will see Thrive Mental Health – the Australian and New Zealand brand of Thrive Mental Wellbeing – launch as Thrive Oceania in February 2023.
Disrupting the Australian and New Zealand EAP sector
The Joint Venture will cause a significant evolution of EAP services in Australia and New Zealand. A spike in ‘EAP-killer’ apps has provided promising mental healthcare solutions. However, most lack the clinical validation and evidence-based solutions provided by Thrive Mental Wellbeing.
The majority of HealthTech offerings are developed with a technology-led ethos, with healthcare becoming a secondary priority. Thrive Mental Wellbeing’s foundations were focussed on users and clinical outcomes, with the technology developed to support these solutions. This has led to an industry-leading, clinically validated service which includes unlimited access to professional qualified psychologists – something yet unseen in the Australian and New Zealand EAP sector.
Revolutionising workplace mental healthcare
How has Thrive Mental Wellbeing revolutionised Workplace Mental Healthcare? Since our inception, our focus has been on the end user and ensuring positive clinical outcomes. This has led to the development of a range of unparalleled features that most other Mental Wellbeing HealthTech companies would find difficult to facilitate – all of which have been designed and developed by leading psychologists. These include:
- Private one-touch access to on-demand support.
- Clinically validated next-generation screening service – providing early, proactive detection of conditions.
- Pro-active Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) programme – fully researched and evidence-based.
- Unlimited access to trained psychologists.
- Clinically validated techniques, supported by clinical validation and globally conducted trials.
- Monthly anonymous, workplace insights on usage, mood and much more
- Hundreds of hours of clinically validated content – including mindfulness and stress-reduction sessions with a progress journal supporting the CBT programme.
The combination, complexity and clinical validation of these solutions is unmatched in the EAP market. It is also unparalleled in the HealthTech sector across territories including the UK, Australia and New Zealand.
Unparalleled clinical support for users
Our focus on clinical outcomes for the user led to implementing unlimited access to trained psychologists which differentiates us from competitors in the market. Our research undoubtedly proved that there would never be a one-size-fits-all solution to mental healthcare. This meant that limiting the number of sessions available for users – typical in the EAP market – would not deliver the necessary outcome for most patients.
What’s next for Thrive Mental Wellbeing?
We have engaged with Vitality Works and followed the in-depth research involved in creating our first-ever joint venture with a leading EAP organisation. We are now more determined than ever to continue to disrupt the market with our world-leading mental healthcare solutions.
Our extensive experience and growing client base, across the UK and around the world, has provided unparalleled data and insight. This allows us to continue our mission to break the stigma of mental health and improve the mental healthcare of employees in organisations around the world.
