Prevention

Encourages support-seeking behaviour and detects issues before they become too severe. The daily use of our content helps prevent mental health conditions. 


Thrive is not for the 1 in 4 people struggling with their mental wellbeing, it is for the 4 in 4 of us that need to care for our mental wellbeing and cope with life's daily stresses.

Detection

We use validated self-administered questionnaires that screen for anxiety and depression. From this we recommend a personalised plan within the app and direct to the right external support to improve mental wellbeing.

Self-Management

The app trains you on many therapeutic techniques shown to improve mood and resilience. There are a range of techniques in the app, meaning there should be something for everyone!

Each of the techniques is evidence-based, clinically proven and used in real life therapy to help manage common mental health conditions such as stress, anxiety and mild depression.

What we do

We have created and developed an app, Thrive: Feel Stress Free - which can detect, prevent and help manage common mental health conditions, using clinically proven techniques (such as CBT and mindfulness techniques.) Thrive uses effective techniques, which are used in everyday therapy, to help build resilience to stress, anxiety and mild depression. By completing the fun activities within Thrive, individuals can monitor and track their own progress and cope better with the stresses of everyday life. 


Why we do it

There are a number of reasons why Thrive do what they do, ranging from helping people on a global scale to reducing the stigma surrounding mental health. The UK's mental health crisis and the increasingly alarming numbers of people experiencing poor mental well-being plays a large part. 

  • 1 in 5 adults have thought of taking their own life
  • 75% of mental health problems are established before the age of 24
  • 76% of people with a mental health condition will never seek professional help 
  • Suicide is the largest killer in men under 45
  • 1 in 4 people will experience a mental health problem in their lifetime

Given these statistics, it seems that there is not much in place to prevent common mental health conditions from worsening, which is exactly why the founders of Thrive wanted to create an accessible app which is fun and egaging to use.
