Dr Andres Fonseca - CEO
Prior to founding Virtually Free, Andres was group medical director for a national independent mental health provider. He oversaw the growth of his department from 6 direct reports to over 30 and a department head count just under 50.
He was responsible for regulatory compliance, training, recruitment and performance management of the medical department. He managed a circa £4m budget. The company grew from 10 hospitals to over 70 care facilities during his tenure.
He has multiple international publications and teaches undergraduates at the Royal Free / University College London (UCL).
He is a medical doctor (MD), a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) and he holds specialist registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) for both adult psychiatry and old age psychiatry. He holds an MSc in Psychiatric Research awarded by UCL.
Richard Flower - CTO
Richard has 20 years of experience developing commercial games. He was part of the core programming team for the Tomb Raider series for 5 years. He has worked in other blockbuster franchises and has been a developer for EA and other leading gaming companies. Since 2009 he has successfully lead his own independent game studio.
Dr Russell Green - COO
Russell is an MD, MRCPsych and he holds specialist registration with the GMC in adult psychiatry. He teaches undergraduates at the University of Sheffield. He has multiple peer-reviewed international publications.
He served as associate medical director with Andres being one of his first hires. He oversaw the mental health side of the company being responsible for the day to day operations of the medical department and overseeing clinical governance, critical incident reviews and regulatory compliance. He has specific expertise in psychotherapy and behaviour-modification techniques.
