Tackling Anxiety and Depression - May 2017
Our randomised research trial concluded in May 2016 with University College London and the University of Roehampton on Thrive: Feel Stress Free in regards to anxiety and depression treatment. The resulting paper is currently in peer review.
The trial ran for 6 weeks to test the impact Feel Stress Free had on anxiety and/or depression symptoms in current and post-graduate students aged 18 – 54.
Participants using the app found that recovery after both 2 weeks, 4 weeks and 6 weeks was accelerated in comparasion to those with no intervention.
CBT interventions on mobile applications - September 2017
This controlled trial was accepted for publication in the Journal of Medical Internet Research in September 2017 by University College London and University of Roehampton on both Agoraphobia Free and Thrive: Feel Stress Free.
The trial ran for 12 weeks on 170 participants who were identified Agoraphobia sufferers. They were assessed online pre-treatment, during treatment and post-treatment to determine whether the two mobile applications were effective regarding Agoraphobia and anxiety symptoms.
The results concluded that both mobile applications, using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy techniques were beneficial and participants had shown significant improvements in the severity of their symptoms.
