At the Royal College of Psychiatrists Congress
Andres and I have had to take on the arduous task of going to Edinburgh for 4 days to present our abstract at the International Congress of the Royal College of Psychiatrists. We did a survey on the use and acceptability of Stress Free and it was accepted for presentation at the meeting. it's a tough job, but someone had to do it.
It was great to be able to show colleagues what we are doing. A common theme from psychiatrists was that they advised patients on using simple self help techniques, but lacked good quality resources to point them to.
We also had the chance to speak to colleagues from other countries with different healthcare systems and discuss how technology solutions to mental health might fit in.
Thanks to every one who took the time to look at our presentation and please keep in touch.
The pictures are not because we are vain but to prove to our respective wives that we have been working! Also. you will see that I managed to put the iPad right on the poster. The most amazing thing was that the iPad was still there when we packed our things for the day!
